UnitiWall Presented at the Passive House Canada Conference
- May 29, 2023
From May 8 to 10, architects, engineers and construction professionals gathered in Hamilton for Passive House Canada’s annual conference. This year’s theme “Future Forward: Innovations in Passive House and Beyond” focused on the evolution of Passive House standards in design and construction and highlighted the various developments afoot in the green building market.
We were delighted to present an overview of our market-leading prefabricated building envelope system along with a team of innovators offering a turnkey rapid design build solution for deep energy retrofits. Led by Buttcon Energy Solutions, the group also included consulting engineers Pretium, energy audit leaders QEA Tech, and Upbrella International, producers of a unique technology for vertical construction.
From energy audits and modelling, to feasibility studies, project financing, pre-construction and construction management and site logistics, through to testing, commissioning, building operations and long-term maintenance, the Deep Energy Retrofit Group offers a rapid, convenient and cost-effective design build solution.
Demand for retrofits to multi-unit residential buildings and offices in Toronto is expected to skyrocket as more than 440,000 residential buildings and 45,000 office towers look to meet the City of Toronto’s 2040 Net Zero targets. With close to 2000 retrofits per year, building owners will require experts who can provide a seamless service covering every aspect of a deep energy retrofit.
